Forestry Management As a member of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), Kuhns Bros. Enterprise understands that how wood is harvested makes all the difference to the health of the forest. Kuhns Bros. manages more than 2,200 acres of private woodlands to procure logs for our mills. Our staff of full time foresters oversees our log harvesting process, with care, knowing the fundamental role forests play in the survival of all life on earth. We have markets for every tree we harvest, using everything from prime veneer logs to firewood, creating everything from Kuhns Bros. Log Homes to mulch.
National Arbor Day Foundation As a corporate supporter of the National Arbor Day Foundation, Kuhns Bros. Log Homes, Inc. is responsible for the planting of thousands of trees annually in our National Forests. Each log home or log cabin homebuyer also receives a nomination fora Foundation membership. This membership entitles each log home or cabin home buyer to receive 10 free saplings. It will also provide trees to second grade students across the country to help them learn about the environment. A subscription to "Arbor Day", a bimonthly gardener's handbook and tree-information guide, FREE Rainforest Rescue wall calendar, and special discounts on the purchase of choice trees are all part of the benefits of becoming a Foundation Member.
