I am sure all of you have experienced a slowdown over the last two years, with the condition of our economy it is inevitable. Obviously we have felt the brunt of this slow down throughout the U.S. and our International markets and we have made adjustments to how we do business because of it and more adjustments will need to be made.
You may have heard rumors of several log home companies that have filed for bankruptcy and there could be more. While KBLH is not immune to this severe housing downturn we are in a position with our bank that will allow us to weather this storm. That being said we still need houses to ship, and in this market every house is important. We know that many of you are having the same difficulty and we want to work together to do everything we can so we all come out the other side of this market no worse for the wear.
KBLH will be putting together an exceptional incentive package to encourage our potential buyers who can take delivery this year to jump off that fence. We will be looking for you to assist in this incentive and together we feel that we can create the best possible scenario for a log home buyer to make their purchase in 2009.
Looking into the proverbial crystal ball we don’t think we can expect housing to improve much for 2009 so we need to come out of the gate with our best foot forward doing everything we can to appeal to a smaller group of buyers. In this market it will be survival of the fittest.
Some good news is even though actual deliveries of homes are down the leads that we have generated has stayed steady. This means there is still interest out there in the market, and when we have some signs of a better economy those individuals will move to buy their log home.
