The Building Systems Councils (BSC) of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) announced the winners of its annual Excellence in Marketing & Home Design Awards competition during last week’s Building Systems Councils’ SHOWCASE event in Louisville, KY. The awards honor the builders and manufacturers responsible for the finest marketing materials and home designs in the concrete, log, modular, and panelized home building industry. Kuhns Bros. Log Homes, Inc., located in Lewisburg, PA, was honored in two categories: Finest Home Design - less than 2,300 sq. ft. and Finest Home Design - over 2,300 sq. ft.

Kuhns Bros. Releases Innovative Planning Kit - October, 2005

Designing and preparing for a dream log home is now easier than ever with Kuhns Bros. Log Homes’ new Planning Kit. Now, consumers can custom design their new log home with the kit’s interactive “Signature Designs” CD. Consumers can enjoy a 3-D virtual walk-through and can completely custom design their own home by choosing from hundreds of design modules, such as: window layouts, log profiles, and roof options. Add a wing, garage, deck, porch and more; or change the color of shingles, stain, and stone. The graphics are incredible and the possibilities are endless. A connection to the Internet allows for instant, realtime pricing. The CD also includes an automated “Cost Tracker” program designed to help monitor all bids, estimates, and final costs associated with building a new log home. These innovative features have never before been available to log home consumers.

Do-It-Yourself TV Series Features Kuhns Bros. Log Homes - October, 2005

On October 23, 2005, the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) cable network will feature Kuhns Bros. Log Homes in their “Assembly Required” series. The air times are 2:00pm, 8:30pm, and 11:00pm. The 30-minute segment embraces the“do-it-yourself” appeal of constructing log homes. The log home segment is the third in a series of 16 episodes.
