A Certificate of Inspection for each building package is provided to the home buyer, ensuring the evaluation of each individual log. The exclusive aesthetic guidelines developed by Kuhns Bros. Log Homes are designed to reduce certain visual defects that develop through the natural growth process of the wood species. Early American Solid Log, an alternative to Kuhns Bros. Premium Solid Log
A rustic alternative to the exclusive premium logs may be a selection for you, this Early American log is an affordable log home product line designed for first time home buyers and vacation home buyers. Kuhns Bros. Log Homes’ “Early American” logs are solid Eastern White Pine, graded and certified in accordance to the Log Homes Council structural grading rules and are available in all the same profiles. A Certificate of Inspection for each building package is provided to the home buyer, ensuring the evaluation of each individual log on the basis of structural stability. Early American logs do not however go through the premium aesthetic grading process instituted by Kuhns Bros. Log Homes, thus producing a natural, rustic finish reminiscent of the logs used by early American settlers. The rustic characteristics that can be found in the “Early American” logs naturally develop throughout the aging and drying process of eastern white pine. These characteristics may include blue stain, excessive chocolate staining and knot clusters to name a few. |
